What a lens!

So are the optics on the 4-5.6 the same as the 3.4?

Peter, I will see what I have. I can attest that the Auto focus with the cpl is the same with and with out. I also have some LP as well and see no difference their either as far as Auto focus goes.

Thanks Javier,
though to be honest, 95% of my shots with this lens are @10mm, MF @ 1m, between f5.6 and f11. So the AF is not big concern here for me, but I'd love to see the effect of polariser @10mm.
TIA

Peter,
Here are two examples of the 10-20 at 10mm. Both are straight Jpegs from the camera with CPL. Personally, I do not like these images and would never post them, but they do show allot of sky...If anyone watched the Rose parade, it take place a few miles from my house. Yes, the skies, really are this blue.

All exif should be intact.

thanks Javier.
I always thought there will be big difference between the colour of the sky (level of polarisations shall we say) when PL filter would be used at 10mm. I was even getting this unwanted effect at 18mm of the kit. And the fear of this was the main reason I never really looked into polarising filter for my 10-20. Well, that may just have changed

Peter, yes I think I can find the link, if you give me some time. BTW, would you like to see the B & W LP, @ 10mm, with a lot of sky, on the Siggy?

Okay, here is one @ 10mm, with good sky--I have more if needed. BTW, this is a highly unusual day in Boston. In fact, it was the nicest day I have ever seen in Boston, and I spent a few years there going to school.

Glad to be of assistance--here is the link to Mike's discussion on the issue. I realize this thread is only for manual focus lenses, but I did read elsewhere in forum that Pentax DSLRs, due to a design difference, can utilize LPs with their AF system.

Nice HDR mate. It really brings a pop to the picture instead of serving as a gimmick effect.
