I've never done an HDR before, but then I never saw one as eye awakening as this one.

Anyone care to tell me the ingredients for baking an HDR? Thanks.

Axl: That is a wonderful example that shows that HDR doesn't have to be dialed to ELEVEN. I would consider that photorealistic, as in it captures what your eye's memory of the scene was... even though your eye was making physiological changes to do it. A superb example of what HDR is for!

Curious: Pure Photomatix, Pure Photoshop or a blend?

Jarvier, I have got to hand it to you: it takes serious guts to post on the heels of Peter's work of art. Whew, now that the pressure is off, we regular shooters can post again.

A shot I took last spring which would've been impossible without the 10-20. Unfortunately, I dropped it and damaged it shortly afterwards. Can't wait for it to get back from Sigma.

come on guys,
OK, thanks the shot is nice (even I'll admit it) but there is no pressure on anybody. There are so many great shots here already, and we have had this thread going for 1 month or so only. It makes me want to go out with 10-20 and just shoot away.

Peter

And if you want to venture to HDR, check out software called Photomatix. If you have it, all you need is 3 or more exposure bracketed shots and off you go.
