Great to be here and be able to admire all the cool shots.
Here is another pic of mine. This one had basic distortion correction applied to straighten the inward leaning edges (Now in Adobe Camera Raw - with CS5) and this small version had been sharpened: The Old Creamery

Exposure 0.01 sec (1/100) Aperture f/9.0 Focal Length 10 mm ISO Speed 200

Easter Sunday Ballgame.....

Man this lens cover a lot of area!

And if you get the right spot in the outfield bleachers it can go foul pole to foul pole!

Who needs Monet?

I know this one won't be for everyone -

Just a shot straight down into a spring fed pool.
The white spots are reflections off the surface of the water.

I really like how this glass handles color.

BTW any way I can post this in portrait without having the size reduced short of an external link?

Two more, this lens just refuses to leave - though I've pretty much decided I'll probably keep the 12-24 and replace this lens with the 8-16 at some point...

Slow day in Liverpool:

Still enjoying this thread, keep up the good work everyone!

I think the reflections and glare spots in the first picture are from the cheap(ish) Circular Polarizer filter. There was one glare spot in the second shot that I removed with the PSE Magic Healing Brush. The last shot shows the effect of a polarizer with a wide angle shot in the changing depth of the tone of the sky.

Beautiful landscapes. Perhaps the Sun is just to the right f the last shot, generating the large variation in depth of blue? Not always the polarizers fault IME. Stil beautiful if you ask me.

It sure works for me--nicely creative, and a useful, poetic reference to Monet IMO.

You people are lighting up the thread!

That's very well done. I would have been too much of a chicken to shoot at 1/10th handheld - haha. I love the bronze like rock towards the bottom of the falls.

Always giving me hard times to correct the distortion with this lens
