I did a series of B&W portraits with my son yesterday, mostly with the DA70. But I keep finding uses for the 10-20 that surprise me, and I did shoot a couple with it. This one turned out nicely:

Yes, the lens works that way for me too, more and more uses the more I use it---nice shot, BTW. Here is one from Boston:

sigma 10-20 have better CA control compared to the DA 10-17mm Fisheye, according to your countryman:

Some shots from a recent beach vacation in Florida:

10mm, F/9

10mm, F/11

13mm, F/8

I've just ordered 12x18 enlargements of these. Can't wait to see them!

Any C&C welcome.

It depends. For some uses, the speed of the f/3.5 makes it better. It is not any better regarding image quality. Also, it is larger and much more expensive. I would guess at a 75% price increase. I got the f/3.5, as I needed the speed.

(Short sentences for the sake of easy translation.)

One difference between the two versions is that the f/3.5 version has an odd number (7) of aperture blades. This creates a nice "sun burst" effect if you shoot into the sun. You get twice as many "sun burst rays" compared to a lens that has an even number of aperture blades.

Optically, the lenses differ slightly in some criteria but it is a give and take game and last time I looked I couldn't identify a clear winner.

The paneled arches and the dome reminds me a lot of the train station in wellington, new zealand.

Great shot. Is it just me or is that guitar tiny?
