oldjohn: Mine arrived via UPS this afternoon. I immediately put it on my K20 and fooled around in my home "office", but was a little disappointed in the sharpness at nearly every focal length and aperture. After being in the hot UPS truck, I think that the heat affected the lens a bit, because it seemed to sharpen up considerably. I realize I have some learning to do with this shooter. I got it from Adorama and they included a 77mm Tiffen UV filter. I am not accustomed to using UV filters, but maybe will give it a try. I was very happy to find this "club" on the forum, and this was some time after I had ordered the lens. I am flabbergasted at the variety and beauty of the photos seen. I hope to be able to contribute after some period of practice. Thanks to all who have posted and commented on this lens.
Hello, welcome & happy shooting to you! Post some shots when you can for us.

Long weekend trip 100miles outside of Cape Town. Hot springs at resort in the middle of winter. 10-20mm "glued" to front of camera.

Dam at Clanwilliam (14mm); Hot Pool by night (110deg F) (10mm 30sec); Mom and our girls on rustic mountain pass (14mm)

So - I've spent this rainy afternoon drooling over this thread and serious LBA sunk in. Perused through the PF marketplace and then hopped over to ebay where I found a mint copy for $399!!

Excellent photos everybody - Truly inspiring, and apparently helping to fuel the economy. haha. Look forward to contributing soon!

Welcome aboard! I hope you heed advice better than Icarus did when his dad gave him wings. LOL. Look forward to your posts.

And what a great pair! You really have an amazingly even exposure for them, especially the first--I am jealous.

Wow. Great shots. I want to get a 10-20 soon.
BTW. What other lenses (including MF lenses) can be considered as alternatives. I know about Pentax 12-24 and don't want to start on which is better. Just want to find the WA zoom choices. Thanks all.

I have the new Sigma 8-16mm. It's a great lens. If you wanna go wide, you might as well go for 8mm!

Couple from a recent Spanish trip, travelled light with K-x, 18-250 and 10-20. Both have been straightened and cropped a little.

This shows a bit of flare, granted, but the lighting would have made any SMC lens sweat
