Just a quick question..
How do you deal with the distortion of the lens? Do you guys use something for PP to minimize the distortion?

I would say that most of the images in this thread have not had any perspective correction done in PP.

I've been in Seattle all week on business doing 12+ hour days. Today was my day to get out and play before my redeye flight home tonight. I'm sure you guys could hear my griping from 2000miles away because I didn't bring my 10-20. All I had was my 16-45 and it wasn't nearly wide enough for the fish market and downtown Seattle.. I might as well get a 2nd body and glue the 10-20 to the current one..

I don't do anything to deal with lens distortion on this Sigma. Call me silly, I like the distortion and don't mind at all. It is to the point where I see the Sigma 10mm and Pentax Fisheye as pretty normal

Frankly I don't bother with it. The distortion generated by this lens is perfectly bearable. The only distortion I deal with is perspective distortion, which I correct in LR3 these days...

A quick one from last night, although this was a Canon mount version of the lens. Still an awesome lens.

Without the Sigma 10-20mm I would rarely get a full double rainbow.

Hi folks.
I am very seriously looking at the F/3.5 version. Does anyone have any thoughts on this lens or does anyone own this guy? I have started to do more evening shooting and the faster lens is becoming a must.

Javier,

haven't heard much good about f3.5 version. I was thinking of getting it myself, but from what I have read/heard the older is better. f3.5 has heavy vignetting and corner sharpness is gone... Have a look at photozone.de, they tested it in Nikon F mount and if you look at the pictures they got, I think you'll be as disappointed as I was

Would the f/3.5 version really make that much of a difference though? What sort of situations are you shooting with it?
