Well guys for me what made me get the "slow" version was my budget.
Either way get your camera, turn off your computer and go outside and shoot some landscapes !

Well, I got my lens on Saturday, and Immediately went to a car show, and this is one of the first shots I took.

The wider the lens, the more expansion in DOF.

The longer the lens, the more compression in DOF.

That's just the way it is regardless of who makes the lens. If the human eye could zoom in and out, it would do the same thing. One of the things I really appreciate about the Sigma is it doesn't radically distort the sun the way the Pentax DA15 does. But then again, the DA15 isn't an UWA either.

Thanks Designosophy. It sure was something to see. Over the course of a couple hours we had blue skies, clouds, red/orange/yellow skies, tornado sirens, black skies, rain & hail. Oh yeah - And a ballgame!
