Sunset last Saturday after a rainy day. It's got some significant perspective distortion, but I still enjoy it.

I like it too Mike. I think you did a great job composing, with nice colors contributing greatly to the moodiness of the shot.

Very nice mike. Great colors too. The fade from yellow/orange to deep violet/blue is quite effective.

It has been a long time since I posted here because the demands of work have reduce photo and forum time, but I have been impressed with everyone's contributions. JT, did I read you sold your Siggy 10-20? What a sad day!

Here are two 10mm sunflower shots before autumn takes over completely. Now these sunflowers are producing seeds that attract the small birds. I've included a photo of one of the goldfinches eating at the flowerhead, for amusement's sake.

Shot with a Pentax 55-300mm:
The goldfinch shot is awesome, share the same feeling about JT sold her siggy

Got up early this morning after my lee filter kit & grad ND's arrived yesterday afternoon. From the photos today, I might have a few more early starts.
Keep 'em coming please..

I have just posted a thread about the flare when using Sigma 10-20 f/3.5.

https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-slr-lens-discussion/160291-sigma-1...flections.html

I am wondering if it is normal or defect in the lens. Please chime in. Thanks.
What camera do you use? I experience the same since I use K5, never happened before with my K20D (or maybe the lighting situation is different- not know for sure).. disturbing flare constantly mess my night shots.

A couple more skate park images. This is the first time I've played with the burst mode with my DS.

20mm with a crop

15mm with a little perspective correction.

The five on the left were from 1 set of bursts and the two on the right were from our practice round.

Yes, it makes perfect sense, more for this lens than any other I have ever owned. It takes a long time to get to know it, its weaknesses & strengths. And it takes an even longer time to learn how to overwhelm its weaknesses with its strengths, but it sure is satisfying when you start getting somewhwere. I think this is because the potential creativity the lens offers is astounding. Of course, much of this can be said of UWA in general, but nonetheless the lens is special.

BTW, both of these shots are nice, but the 2nd 1 is particularly nice: it is rare to find an excellent shot with the 10-20 which plays with DOF, but you did it here. Me like!!!

I actually prefer the "Merlion and MBS" from your Flickriver page.
