I tried this with my two year old and he bashed my Siggy directly on the front glass with the toy he was holding.

I almost had a stroke.

(Great photo, BTW!)

All double posting up in here, but I like how this one came out.

Not the normal pretty beach shots. I kinda like the ominous atmosphere with the reds in the sky and the browns in the sand.

I used a ND8 on the first 2 shots. Was too dark by the last one (was darker than photo suggests).

Nice shot Anders,

I tried that with my young'un and spent the next 30mins cleaning off the drool / strained rice. I've since bought a UV for protection

Another I think turned out OK this afternoon with the 10-20mm 3.5. There were some fantastic sunrays but I was a little late so I missed the best light.
This was taken at f8, ISO100 at 12mm.

Thanks,

What's the 2nd one like without the crop? I would've thought going wide to emphasize the size of the place would be more effective. Even a wide panoramic style crop? Just wondering....

You will soon love this lens. I find I often go somewhere with no intention to use it and soon enough it is on and I am finding uses for it.

Woohoo.... A cropped and corrected version of one of my beach shots up there just got accepted into the Exclusive Gallery. Might celebrate my first decent photo and order a canvas print of it.
