I guess you'd call it purplish whitish fringing...? What technique do you use to remove CA in LR? All I did was desaturate the purple.
What Jezza said. The white areas may be blown-out regions. I'm not sure what causes it technologically, but I've seen it a lot with tree branches: the areas right around the branches don't blow out, but as you get farther from each branch, more and more pixels blow out.

Sharing these photos from Aurora province here in the Philippines. Sharing only 3 so as not take too much space in the thread, the rest of the photos are in the flickr set on the link below. All photos taken with the Sigma 10-20 f4-5.6 except for the "Wallflower" photo which is taken with the DA40XS.

Went to Naturalis in Leiden today, a beautiful museum of natural history. They have an extensive collection that is also presented very well. A lot of research is going on there too, some of which they also present to visitors. It's even fun for kids, they're all sorts of interactive stuff for them to do.

@ 12mm on K-5 @ 3200 ISO. Very impressed once again with how the K-5 handles high ISO noise and dynamic range!

Was almost a total bust for sunset with the clouds last night, 2 shot pano

Just managed to grab this one in a gap. Will definitely head back when the moon is less bright, and the clouds are gone

Sometimes, clouds are good.

That shot reminds me of one I did a while back.

Got the lens and took a trip to Charlotte, NC to test it out. I think I have to learn a bit more about wide angle but I'll get the hang of it.

K7 + Sigma 10-20 EX DC

Sorry for the pic overload.

This was an OCD nightmare. Center the lights, the lines go wonky, center the lines, the lights go off-center. I went with the lesser of the two evils... LOL
