I tend to prefer more "compact" pictures, like the first one; this is the kind of picture you can get only with a UWA.

The combination of undeveloped land underfoot and developed land across the water, with the bridge visually tying them together, is very interesting

My copy is very, very good at close range (probably a little less so from 50 or so meters up to infinity).

Your post processing is very good too. Any tips there?

Thank you

In general don't quite like the colors it produces... I do some tweaks in the HSL panel, which usually involve increasing the saturation of Yellows and Oranges, and generally lowering their luminosity; then I often decrease the saturation of Blues and Aquas, and, depending on the circumstances, raise or lower their luminosity.
Of course first of all lock down your WB, or you risk trying to correct WB with the HSL panel, which is obviously a no-no.

This was from a RAW, but it wasn't too difficult... in other stands the lighting was all over the place.

To my mind, UWA focal lengths are often best used at close range period.

At a distance, compressing so much material onto an APSC sensor just loses clarity. A stitched panorama, if possible, often looks better. I don't think I'm alone in this opinion.

Subject-wise, that's almost a given, but I don't think it depends on the APS-C sensor tout-court, rather on pixel density.
I was talking optically, since my copy's plane of focus is not perfectly planar (or approximately, or at least uniformely curved), rather is a little bit deformed so the far right side tends to focus a bit closer than the rest of the image.
This is only evident at long distances, thus my remark on my particular copy of this lens.
