Well done, cool effect, and the best bit about it is you have a perfect excuse to buy a new tripod

My 15 Ltd arrived just today. Unfortunately I don't think I'm going to get to use it for quite some time as it has confirmed a horrible backfocusing problem with my K-7 that is going to leave me cameraless for god knows how long.

However, I had a question for you owners of this lens with regards to the front element. There is a center circle that is very clear and all that business, but the edges (outer 1/3 or so) appear different, as though they have a rough surface. Looking at it under bright light, that outer third looks almost speckled with a glass dust, and part of it is etched. I'm feeling this is probably not normal and am going to return it unless I hear otherwise in here.

Some very inspirational photos in here, you guys:

jaieger -- the neon bokeh through glass on the rainy streets of Vancouver is gorgeous. The brightness and vivid color of the OOF lights seem remote and yet so vibrant and within reach.

twitch -- the slow shutter shot of the SUV on the expressway is inspiring. There is an extreme smoothness and precision with which you tracked it. It's painterly and sun saturated, and the horizontal-ness of the gear attached to the top of the vehicle really enhances the sense of lateral movement. Truly wonderful subject isolation.

jianing - your three part B&W series is beautifully realized. I especially like the simplicity and motion of the first shot which is exposed perfectly and makes good use of negative space to emphasize the subject.

I was out walking around the other day and shot this by just holding the camera out to about what I thought was close to minimum focusing distance, letting it autofocus and firing (i.e no viewfinder, no live view). The shot was nothing special, but then I decided to see how it might look heavily cropped. Shot on a K-7, nothing done to the out-of-camera jpg but cropping, and resizing in iPhoto for export to smugmug. The first shot is the original, just for reference.

Here's the crop. I think it holds up pretty well, at least for screen viewing.

Twitch, I just noticed the Flickr galleries you have set up for each of Limited lenses. You have some great shots in there.
