whaaa! I was shooting the ocean with my DA15 this evening and a rogue wave smacked me and the camera, knocking over the tripod. i caught everything before it went under but everything got soaked. I just got home and the K5 appears to be fine except that the on off slider is still seeping water, but my poor DA15 has salt water dripping out from the focus ring. When i turn it, i hear the grinding of sand inside. any suggestions?

PS - i THINK i got the shot nonetheless.

Ouch, sorry to hear that Mike I'd be tempted to give the DA15 to pentax for a spring clean, or at least ask their advice.

I spent the afternoon out with my 15 for the first time in a long time. The wide angle is well suited to a tall pine forest!

I'd say you got the shot...gorgeous! Now print it large and sell a few copies to fund the fixing of the lens.

Finally took the 15 out with me today. My first (and only to be honest) shot with the lens:

Might consider a new title for that series, The Death of a DA15 seems more correct.

Just teasing, I hope it drys out fine for you.

thx, don't know yet. i havent tried it on the camera yet but is definitely has a scratchiness to the focus.

as for the burst of shots, i apparently clenched up on the remote trigger when the adrenaline hit me.
