Monday morning

Well, this thread inspired me to get the DA15 - and it really has controlled my mind ever since. I have a lot of fun with it and made some of my best so far shots with it.

Even the people at Blurb like the pictures this lens delivers, choosing a book with them as 'staff pick':

A very fun image (as are the others in your book!)

Wow, that's really cool. Are you selling any books?
Great work!

Interestingly, most of my biggest commercially successful photos are shot with the da15.

What channels do you sell your stuff through, Matt?

Thanks! The Pentax lineup is perfect for me - the DA15 is very compact as is the K5. Image quality is excellent and the files are strong enough to withstand some serious abuse .

Yes, the photo book on Blurb is selling, but I must admit that I did not quit my day job yet . Nevertheless I am very happy with Blurb and I can really recommend them. I am interested to see what the Blurb ebooks for iPad/iPhone will look like and if they sell. I'll order my book myself later tonight to check it out.

You use the DA15 well Matt. Wide angle gives an unusual drama to shots which is undoubtedly what appeals to your customers.

Local galleries, restaurants ,calendars, the newspaper, and I sold one to the local college for a recruitment poster recently. Nothing big, but I'm hoping it will continue to grow.

schneider: thanks - so do you!

I have some book ideas that might do well locally. I just need to keep production costs low enough to make it worthwhile for small scale. It seems like Blurb could offer that.

Thanks Twitch. I am enjoying your photos too!

Btw, yesterday I checked the ebook option from Blurb with the Monday Morning book and it is a really nice extra option. The iPad screen is stunning and a really good way of enjoying the pictures. The possibility of zooming in the details is a great feature. For instance the little price tag under the right shoe is a fun detail for which you need to zoom (or have a really large print).
