My son is interested in photography and is working on a school photo project. So we went out shooting twice yesterday. Here are a few da15 shots from the day.

Not too cool to kiss his mom, but just not on camera!

I actually don't think the lens is that bad in that regard, but that could be I usually try and use the hyperfocal distance. Of course, I may have lower quality standards.

Thank you both and love your shot, bickrs. Also love the other shots posted - this thread is amazing; so many incredible shots. What a sweet, sweet lens!
Cheers

Processed this previously as a square but trying again with more in the background.

Train shot is superb by the way and like the le on the castle.
Thanks Mark and that is a very striking shot of the boat. Nice processing.

...

Mattb123, some lovely shots there. Love the steps rail.

Thanks but those are mine. I guess I did word that ambiguously.
He's shooting with my old Canon bridge camera, but I'd certainly agree he's got a good eye for composition!

Unacceptable for pixel peeping purposes perhaps.

But I, for one, think the results on these pages speak for themselves: not just acceptable, but extraordinary.

That is amazing. What are the setting for Aurora shots? I'm guessing long exposure but I really have no idea.

It also looks cold there. Very, very cold. I prefer my winters more like this. I'm pretty sure that I haven't posted this one yet from 1.5 wks ago but I've had a great two weeks of travel (some work in between) with a lot of photos to go thru.
