And a lovely shot it is, too. Love way you have managed to capture the stars as well, and didn't feel compelled to do star trails (which I think are getting a bit passè)

Matt, I dont know what you do, but to consistently produce quality, you really add inspiration to this forum. Hekr - beautiful landscape - my wife is half Finn, and I keep telling here we need to tour Scandinavia - this is great fuel for the conversation.

I've been playing with 15Ltd a little bit more these days, and getting more comfortable shooting wide angle - For those who live around the Great Lakes you'll know that the shipping lanes close in the winter. The vessels that ply the waters tie up in a number of ports. This is the Algoma Quebecois tied off in Hamilton Harbour.

That is a great image.

Hi,

First post in this lens club!

The DA 15 is a great lens to take out on cold winter days - it's small, easy to use, rejects flare but has plenty of flair and personality!

Here is a recent photo on a crisp Ottawa morning (one of the many urban trails in our city).

I'm sorry but this thread is getting way too cold! Does anyone in the tropics own this lens?

Sorry guys. I'm sure mine will look warmer in a few months. Someone else will have to take warm looking pics between now and then.
Actually yesterday was pretty warm compared to how it's been the past couple of weeks. It was 20. ABOVE zero! Yay!

You're right - it's getting pretty cold in here! Canada is far from the tropics, so this image of the Ottawa River in summer will have to do until spring comes!
