Wow, this picture makes me happy

The 15ltd collects sunbeams during summer, just to spread them back again to the people in the winter. From walls, from monitors.
Gotta have one. The winter in Norway is dark and long.

I rented a DA15 to try this last week, so, of course it rained five of the seven days. I did enjoy my time with it though, especially one day when I was able to take it on a short stroll -- the lens seemed to really make sense at this point.

For interior shots, I wasn't as excited, but if you pump the ISO, add a little grain and turn it to black and white it can give you the feel of old film wide angles, which was appealing to me as well.

Also, for some reason, I was addicted to taking photos of flowers with this lens. I have no idea why.

My humble contribution this monster thread:

Took my poor da14 for a spin on the weekend, all it did was make me want the little 15 that loves to shoot into the sun. Time for an upgrade me thinks!

I am developing an acute case of DA 15mm lust thanks to this thread.

It will be mine. Oh yes, it will be mine.
That's the spirit guys.

jsherman999, inspiring again! Excellent.

I took the 15 out on the street. It will take some practice for me getting close to people, but to me it is worth it.
That's the kind of shooting I wish I could do more of - right now I'm time constrained which makes me geographically constrained to 'found snaps'...

some recent shots..

...

in case you're wondering what the heck that 'thing' is.. it's a helium filled balloon with 5 projectors pointed at it. At night, it becomes the sun.. but during the day, it's a white fugly crappolla.
...(taken with the 16-45)
are all those taken with the 16-45, or just one?

I like them all, especially this one:

I take a lot of flower shots too with mine, but not many are near that first one - very nice.

Shots 2, 4 and 5 are impressive, especially #5 which could be in a challenge. Nice, nice stuff, please post more.

That 14 is a pretty nice lens, though. I'll take it off your hands for a couple months so I can compare the two.

I also have been taking a lot of flower photos with the 15. It's just got such fabulous contrast and saturation! I do the same with indoor photos and quite like the effect, reminds me of all my childhood photographs

He's getting to be a little person, Jay! They grow up way too fast....but at least with all the sleep deprivation the parents don't experience the passing of time as fast as everyone else

So rather than the DA15 we can call it the DJ15?

I took a series of photographs of the glass art hanging in Seattle's Benaroya Hall a couple of weeks ago and was really mesmerized by how much the shadows looked like sea creatures, so I tinted them green - spooooooky! Could not have taken these photos without the 15mm - the minute gradations in contrast of the layers of glass, oh my.
