I made a mistake with this one. Shooting out my truck window and didn't stop down -- shot at f4, so no nice starburst...

Still a nice shot, Rondec! Sure looks a lot more like winter than the spring-like (but unfortunately dull and grey) weather we enjoy here at 60 degrees N!

Here's a shot from a while back. I think it was one of my first attempts at getting a proper starburst.

As gazonk says, we have a rather drab and deary weather here these days - it has pretty much been like that for the last two months - so I spend more time looking through old stuff. That's an exercise I should do more often...

comparison - Ricoh GR 21mm to DA 15mm (prior post)

This doesn't entirely belong in this thread, but it sort of does. Just wanted to throw up a quick and dirty comparison the first DA 15mm shot I posted out my window the other night (a few posts up) with this one, taken with the Ricoh GR with the 21mm adapter that just arrived this afternoon. It's out the same window, processed as closely as I could, working quickly. Not an entirely fair comparison, the Pentax had the benefit of a city-lit clouds passing by, while tonight it's clear and black up there. Nevertheless... I'm awfully impressed with the Ricoh in this case.

Not a great shot, but I thought I'd share it anyway now that I finally put my CPL filter to use. As far as I could tell, this sky was white.

Seems to smudge the hell out of that starburst, though. Perhaps I should clean it...

Beautiful skiing this weekend.
My wife and son hiked to the peak of Mt. Crested Butte with me yesterday which is always a fun spring adventure.
