From the Department of Mind Control, after the K3 arrived I went a
bit lot overboard in the Marketplace in January and February. In the past when this happened I simply reversed all the trades, maybe lost a few dollars and all was as it should have been. This DA15 Limited may be the catalyst that finally ends what my wife calls compulsive hoarding of old film cameras and lenses. I don't think I can let it go.
Surely there are plenty of beautiful places around St Louis and the Mississippi to shoot. I don't really think of southern Indiana as that great, but it is where I live.
I think the DA 15 is pretty special. Hard to explain it by the numbers, but it is just so gratifying to go out and shoot with it and pull up photos in Lightroom afterward. If Pentax does release a full frame camera, I sure hope they can have a lens that is like this one -- 20-ishmm, sharp stopped down, and super flare resistant. Who really cares if it is slow as long as it has those features?
