Daffodils bloom. Gibbs Garden.
Abusing the 15mm for a shot that it is never intended for. A close up of a flower at that FL. But the lens continues to amaze nonetheless.

And the characteristic starburst we all know of ...
I always wondered how to get the starburst but this lens makes it a piece of cake. It works even at surprisingly wide open apertures like f8 and only gets better from there. This one is @f22 though.

Well, actually, tried to do my first sunbursts with that lens this weekend, but I am not very satisfied....
Here's an example, the rays looks duplicated...
what's the trick ?

I've found an aperture around f/13 to be the best to bring out that crisp, clean starburst this lens is famous for.

f/11

f/13

f/14

f/16

Guys, I did it again... Your shots just want made me buying a SCM DA 15mm again. Couple years back I used to own one, has been my favourite lens, but dropped due to uncertain times for Pentax (MFT user in the meantime, but kept some Pentax stuff).

An old shot from South Island of NZ, April 2013. Sunset over Lake Te Anau, gateway to Fjordlands NP.
