Well you convinced me. I just bought an HD 15 Ltd in excellent condition from a fellow member. Some of my first shots with it, at Walkerville, South Gippsland, Victoria.

Loving it already.

I'm sure you'll have lots of fun with this lens. Some tips: watch out for nice sunbursts when the sun is partially obstructed by something, get close to things and last one... focusing distance is really really small, this allows for some interesting possibilities (something that I always forget).

Ah, you won't regret that purchase, Des. Looking forward to seeing more images as you get used to using it.

Thanks for all that Hattifnatt. Great tips. After having the DA 12-24 for a few years I need to overcome my aversion to shooting towards the sun! With the close focus, I need to think of it like the love-child of a macro and a UWA. :-)

Thanks very much Ray. I'm excited about it.

Mangrove, Port Albert, Victoria. Trying to practise getting close enough. ;-) (K-3 + DA 15 Ltd)

You know you are close enough when your shoe is in the frame.

It almost warmed up to the freezing point this afternoon, but I'm going to share a couple pictures of northern lakes in the summer instead (summer of 2016).

5 photos taken quickly from the hotel room in Tokyo in portrait perspective and stitched together. Using the K-1.

Good use of perspective Ray but the complimentary colours really make the swimming pool photo.
