It does. I haven't used that as often. I don't usually need that long an exposure -- 1/2 second is plenty for most waterfalls.

I think the big things are to use a tripod, and try for a shutter speed between 1/8 second and 2 seconds. Depending on the light, you might need to use a neutral density filter. I usually use either the self timer option or a remote control to trigger the exposure as that keeps you from having movement. I don't know that there is much else to say there.
Thank you. Have you tried this technique in other situations involving motion?

Cheers,
Loyd

I haven't really. If you slow your shutter speed down enough everything will get blurry, but that isn't always a good thing.

Thank you. I keep my K-01 with the DA 15 limited in my truck and sometimes as I am going to work or coming home I see light that catches my eye and I snap a photo or two.

Unfortunately, I don't clean off that memory card very often and so it often goes a few months between times that I edit the images. Hence my recent contributions to this thread.

Two heavy rainstorms in late October resulted in the Musconetcong River being as high and swift as I've ever seen it. Though quite a bit of the foliage was stripped by the storms, the remaining color was intense as the cloudy afternoon progressed to evening.

K-3 II's IBIS allowed me to be fairly reliable down to 1/4s... battling leaf & branch movement from the breeze and water current was more troublesome than camera shake.

The HD15 doesn't do the big, well-defined diffraction spikes like its SMC sibling, but I do like the sun.. star? Is there a specific term for this effect?
