A few snaps from a sushi lunch with the wife today. I haven't used this lens much, so just trying to work into it.....wide lenses are not within my normal comfort zone...

Jumping on the sunburst wagon on the way to the store… not much else interesting going on in my shots though.
+1, I love the light on the second image.

Here's another sunburst... of course, the quality has been butchered my Failbook.

Todd, I really like those shots. The angles, composition, colors, even like the processing. How did you process those?

Thanks, this is not my usual processing, but I used Topaz Adjust, two rounds of it with different settings...probably shoulda written it down. Beyond that, just my usual Curves/sharpening.

The perspective of the first image is fantastic, it keeps drawing me back. I love this lens but I often tend to be too conventional in my use of it so lately I have been reaching for my 35mm more. Thanks for reminding me how great it can be to get up close with an ultrawide angle!

Thanks, glad you liked them, and the first is by far my favorite. As I said, I am not a wide angle guy. I think I got lucky to have framed that shot well, but I am hoping if I use it a lot I will get a feel for it, and have more successes.

Love the PP and the starbusts for good measure on the first one Jay.

Just got my DA 15 yesterday, and you certainly have a lot to do with it!

Looking forward to some mind control...

Merry Christmas!
I went on a little solo ski tour yesterday with my da15 & da40. That was a lot of fun.

Good stuff Matt! Nice lens combo, I sometimes use the DA 15 plus the FA 43, very compact and light yet with a lot of capability, and great IQ. I haven't been able to do any skiing for a couple of years now, but that last shot really does it for me- outstanding!
