Geez, it's been a while since I saw a shaggin' wagon... Nice.

I'm so pleasantly surprised that someone from Ontario knows what a "shaggin' wagon" is. This looks like one of Melbourne's famous lanes (Hoosier Lane maybe?) adorned as they are by some self proclaimed artists.

I'm ambivalent about the graffiti art. Some of it is fantastic, most of it is below par, mere scribble, as can be seen by the disrespectful 'taggers' who decide their autograph is more important than the hours and hours of work they have defaced. Then again, I'm a cranky curmudgeon, what the hell would I know about the modern ethos?

Twitch is this HDR? It has that sort of look about it. Terrific shot. Iconic car.

Thanks! It wasn't HDR, I took the bracketed shots but my trial on HDR Efex ran out, so this is processed from a single exposure.

Well spotted on the location, the car was in a side lane just off Hosier Lane.

I have not taken too many good photos with this lens in the last 2 months, it's been so cold that I have been really unmotivated to take photos where such a wide angle would be useful.

I got a short chance the other day - I find this a tough lens to use well! I love the results though, and I love a good challenge.

My humble contribution...

Ah, that would be as I am an import.

As to the graffiti, I am in agreement, some is marvellous, and some very, very ordinary. Seems to be the same here in Toronto. I've also seen some really creative stuff in Montreal, and even got contacted by one of the artists on Flickr when he spotted my pic there (I gave him a copy of the pic).

K5+da 15

A lovely little lens that is just right for the K5. An old willow grove:

Found some fresh Mahi-Mahi today in the fish market. Shot with the K5+DA 15mm Limited.

Officially a member of this club!

It took a lot of going back and forth between this and the DA21, and I had a feeling I'd prefer the DA15 more, but the price had me going back to the DA21 again and again. While the DA21 goes for about the same as the US street price here in Metro Manila, the DA15 unfortunately goes for the equivalent of a whopping USD $830 here.

But in the end, I decided that the DA21 would have to wait for later. Much later.

Have only owned this lens for about 24 hours, so haven't really had the chance to shoot with it yet, but here's a quick shot from Manila's (in)famous Divisoria Market from earlier today:

I wish my eyeballs had flare control as good as this lens.
