Wonderful shot of the canyon. I love the tree in the foreground, too.

Wow, thanks everyone for the compliments of my Grand Canyon shot.
It's a lot of fun using the DA-15 ltd at the GC.

After midnight

Just got one compliments of a forum member who's going to need another replacement, third I believe. And no thanks to the great work on in this group. I'm positive it was merely LBA.

A relatively humble contribution. This lens hasn't been out as much lately while I have been rekindling a love affair with one of my other DA limited lenses.

Just wow

This has been an amazing thread to follow. I was minding my own business when a 15 out there in the wild took control of my mind and sent me to this site. My 15 will be receiving me later this week!

Jac, those shots have a great sense big-scale to them, and I'd imagine there's a lot of scenery like that up north!

Thanks guys. Think desert (although those are looking South at Hudson's Bay). Despite the water, it's desert-like in scale and plants. On the land, it's hard to tell if isomething's a large rock in the distance or a small rock, quite near. Those things we Southerners use for perspective, buildings, trees, roads just aren't there.

Wow what an amazing shot, very well done!

If you don't mind me asking, what's your exact setup for your ND filter, Downfall? Your results speak for themselves so I wouldn't mind trying to pickup the same as you're using. Thanks.
Thanks! Well I bought myself a Hoya ND400 filter. I have also tried to stack it with my ND8 filter on some photos to increase the time even further

it has been a bit of a slow week for me again, I haven't been able to get up to my usual shenanigans with the DA15 LTD

the Bokeh from the DA15 is pretty hard to tame at f/5.6 - the FA31 which is my second widest lens I often take with me gives the DA15 a hiding in that regard.

That's not your Roller is it? Anyway I think you would have more than a Rolls Royce worth of lenses.
It looks like it needs a clean, is it covered in a thin film of Chilean volcanic ash?

no it isn't, and at any rate I wouldn't own a rolls royce, at the moment i'm riding a Ducati 750 supersport

As for the comment about lenses you're quite right, but that's what happens when your family has been involved in photography for over 80 years - as others on this forum have demonstrated photography equipment has a tendency to accumulate.

probably. In which case I hope the owner is extra careful when he cleans his car because the paint would get badly scratched.

Been a long time since I played. Great submissions, guys. I love this thread .

Digitails - I love the shot of the hood ornament. I dunno how unique it is to for the DA 15, but I love the depth of field... the pop is there... bokeh is not exactly smooth but very nice all the same... what a lens.

My most difficult, but also most loved, lenses. It's sometimes hard to make it work for you, but when it does you just go WOW.
