Great solution, I'm looking at the Lee system but wasn't sure how I could get it on the 15.
I'll warn you twitch getting the lee filter system to work well with the FA31mm f/1.8 is even harder, the lee filter holder is too heavy for three stacked glassless filter rings to handle - Lee filters are solid borosilicate float glass and they are heavy for what they are.

Twitch, Another stunning shot! I just ordered the B+W 10 stop ND filters, can't wait to join the fun.

I use a Hoya ND400 filter which is something between 8 and 9 stops. But I also many times stack it with my Hoya ND8 filter to gain 3 extra stops

Pentax K-5 + DA15 Ltd
@ Downfall Excellent series with the Hoya ND400!

I just settled for putting a slim 49mm polarizer on the DA15 and attaching the lee filter holder to that - and it worked.
@ Digitalis Nice work with the combo!

Thanks, and hope you enjoy your new ND's. One thing I forgot to mention, metering is pretty useless with the 10 stop but put it on manual and you'll get to know the right settings with a bit of experimentation and chimping the histogram. For a bright sunny day I start with ISO100, f/13, 15 seconds. That's usually within a stop of being correct.

With the 6 stop the meter gets it wrong but predictably so, adding plus ~2EV seems to do the trick, so you can use it in AV mode. This is all on the K-x and center weighted metering, not sure if that holds true for evaluative metering or for different bodies.....

Twitch, Thanks for the tips, I'll check that method. I am also thinking meter without the filter and then apply the 10-stop difference. I would also assume to per-focus first then put on the filter. It could be interesting and fun learning experience.
