Wow! That's great, love the clouds and the contrast in the foreground.

I'm not sure a "standard dog" could handle that sort of terrain.
My dog likes to sleep 1/2 the day and won't even leave the house!

Q: Is that the same preset/tweak as you used on your brilliant farrier shot from yesterday?

Cheers guys. Not a massive walk Steve. Maybe 8/9 miles and about 3,000 feet of climbing. Not often I don't take my full kit but I just fancied taking the 15, 40 and 70 as I was carrying food/water for the boy as well. A couple of hours behind us on the same route another walker slipped and fell. He died instantly. Not good news - quite a few slippy patches underfoot.

Processing wise I just use LR3. On this occasion I went through the various presets I've set up and then played with levels/curves. I also used the brush to try and darken the sky as it was very bright and the downside of travelling light was that I had no grads with me. I've got CS5 and Silver Efex as well but I'm still in the midst if building a new computer and I'm not installing them until thats up and running.

Another great shot, Mark! Just checked out your 500px galleries as well...very impressive.

Here's a couple more from August in the Canadian Rockies.

Hi guys,
I am looking to buy a WA or UWA lens for landscape photography.
I have the 18-135 WR and 35mm LTD but looking at the 15mm LTD for wider shots.

Perhaps this thread is a little bit bias but should I look at the alternate UWA zooms from the other guys instead (sigma, tamron, ect.)? 8mm seems like a rediculous viewing angle to pass up on right?

This is the main concern I have that 15mm isn't wide enough. But I have read that some landscape gurus prefer it... how does this work?

Had my first opportunity to shoot with the 15mm Limited yesterday evening. Sadly I missed the actual sunset and there is not much of interest to shoot in suburbia in Illinois in late February, especially when there is no snow. For just a quick walk around the neighbor hood I think this lens is a winner.

So here are my first few attempts.

I have looked to 100% for infinity focused images... Strange lens, center is excellent, but corners unacceptable
