Originally posted by v5planet Hey math guy! I know what you mean; it took me several months to really start using the DA15 properly. I despaired and it would float unused in my camera bag for long stretches of time, but then I would visit this thread and go out with it again. Now I seem to use it more than any other lens, but it took me a long time to be able to 'see' the way it expects you to. Once you start seeing the world at 15mm this lens delivers, but it's a process, and even then, the end result is not for everyone. Have you done much wide angle photography before?
The widest I used to shoot in the film days was a 28mm, but it was my favorite focal length. Of course, I shot a lot more landscapes back then and not nearly as many people shots. The 15mm on my K-x has the field of view of about 23mm on film, so that is certainly a good bit wider than the 28mm I used to love so much.
I'm definitely going to stick with it for a while, though. I really want to like this lens.
Glad to hear I'm not the only one who has had trouble getting adjusted to it. Thanks!
