really appreciate your comment!

you have to be soooooo close to your object, it's unbelievable - and you need to turn on the charm to get there, that's for sure!

looking forward to do some buildings and landscape the next few days...

I've watched this thread in quiet appreciation - Although I have DA 12-24 I've wanted the 15 Limited for its compactness and unimposing 49mm objective (but drat my 49-52 step ring doesnt fit so I'll have to buy a new size of ND filter)

I picked it up last night, and spent 2o mins with it this evening while walking the dog. Thanks for the inspiration and infecting me with mind control

None! I was referring to the lens itself.

All my filters are 52 or 77!- I was a slight perturbed the stepping ring won't fit inside the hood. I will have to wait till pay day to order up 49mm sized.

I'd agree. Have you tried it in B&W, btw?
Thanks for the suggestion after which I revisted the B&W, which got me my first explore! (that I know of)

Awesome photos and beautiful countryside. I'm flying to India on business this Friday (first time), and was planning on bringing only my 18-135 due to the rain in the forecast. Now you got me thinking maybe I should pack the 15 as well!

You can make it work if you have an old 49mm filter to sacrifice. Just take the glass out and use it as a spacer. I personally found step rings bothersome and i bought a 49mm set to go with my 52mm set but I have a lot of 49mm lenses. I'm a little surprised that you don't have more.

That's a Good Suggestion abacus. just wondering if the 52 mm filter screwed into step-up ring which then screws into the spacer sitting Further forward may cause a very slight Vignetting ?

Edit: I've got plenty of spare 49 mm filters , I'll give it a try tonight..

2nd Edit : Sorry for the Diversion from Main Thread Folks

This set-up to me looks like it may cause slight Vignetting :-(

I wouldn't be surprised since pretty much everything causes vignetting on the DA15 aside from only using one filter.

Truth be told I do have more 49mm threaded lenses, but I find the filters harder to find in a store, and I actually prefer to business with b&m locations.

Deimos I could have sworn that was a Vancouver Island Lake... Though I have only been to Algonquin twice it makes sense. The canoe shots really put it into perspective (no mountains).

Great shot Disco
