I have been thinking about this 15mm and just happened to land on this thread. Looking at the last four pages, I'm getting sucked in to a 15mm black hole...and the only way out I fear, is to spend about $550.00. ALL OF YOU'RE PICS ARE FANTASTIC!!!! (I have to have one).

But I was convinced that I wanted a 12-24mm to complement my 16-45mm. (Not to mention the DA* 300mm I been watching). "LBA...I curse you"
Resistance is futile...

The more time I spend on here the more I want every lens including the ones that dpc mentions. Living abroad with substantially higher prices does slow down LBA though.

Here are a few from a birthday camping trip this weekend although I still have to get my favorite DA15 pic on flickr.

The telltale starburst

Indeed, the starburst of the 15 does give it away. Seen here on Dolores Street in San Francisco last weekend.

Spotted this scene while cycling through a forest near home with my son. I'm a sucker for forest interior shots.

I was going to shoot it with my 35mm Macro Limited, but have been forcing myself to get to know my new 15mm and so gave it a go.

I was trying to find a bigger waterfall but the trail was more difficult to follow than I expected for a guide book waterfall. It turns out the trail was damaged and I needed to go further. This was an alright consolation prize which is actually one of my favorites that I have taken for awhile.

Thanks DogLover and Crumal! I'm slowly learning how to post-process photos, so good to hear from some that I didn't blow it.

Cheers,
Mark

The used price is almost as much as the new purchase price

And they go fast! I watched three 15mm Limiteds come and go on KEH.com in short order while I was building up my stash to buy one.

Careful about letting the photos in this thread fuel your LBA, though. That's how I got sucked in! But, I found that getting images like the ones shown here usually requires a lot more work and/or talent with the 15mm than I'm used to (or have, in the case of talent) with other lenses. I was even considering sending mine back as a "bad copy" after my first 2 days with it! Cooler heads prevailed.
