If you even see a guy with DA15 in there, that could be me.
I live in the area.

Yiptwo those shots are excellent! And no slight to MegaPower's earlier efforts, either. Reminds me of a night shot I had posted on Flickr, which I thought was pretty decent, but got very few comments or views. Turns out about a week earlier, (unbeknownst to me), one of the more popular photographers on our local Flickr group had posted a shot of the same subject, although with a different angle and composition. People probably thought I was plagiarizing his idea, but it just happened to be a very attractive subject. (My version was better IMO, LOL! )

GD Roth, is that not the church near Oakwood & Beech, in Dearborn? Looks familiar. I like that last one the best, very nice!

Thanks NeverSatisfied..............I like the "Architectural" feel of the last one also. I was outside and they opened the door and I rushed over and got the shot using the 15mm.............I had to crop out 75% of the image to get it to where you see it.....

It is actually Christ Church Cranbrook in Bloomfield Hills............I'm waiting for the first snowfall and I'll rush back for more shots....

Are there any tips or tricks to get the sun star burst so spectacular like you see in this thread? I get one of two things, just a big blob of a sun, or a star burst at like f20, but the rest of the shot is nearly black. I never seem to get a well lite scene and a star burst at once.
This lens is relatively new to me, but from my experience it seems like f/12--f/14 seems to work well for getting the starburst effect while maintaining decent sharpness. The starbursts in my set required a fair amount of processing to bring out the shadows and decrease the highlights. Perhaps someone with more experience could chime in on their technique.
