As an industrial design major, my DA15 has proven to be indispensable for photo and video documentation during design research.

It is wide enough to capture everything in tight spaces. This is important when documenting research processes because you want to capture the subject in his/her environment. The close focusing ability allows me to take close up shots when I need to. In addition, the small size is an added advantage because it does not intimidate the interview subject. Just here to highlight that this lens is as fun as it is useful for serious work.

Very happy with this lens. I hope to share my photos here when I start using this lens for fun and not for school :P.

For all that I've complained about the blahhhh light of our continual overcast winter weather, the strong morning Florida Sun was something to contend with on a recent trip. HDR helps a bit.

I liked how the DA 15 really plays the crookedness of the make believe village to great benefit here.

Any idea what the streak across Polaris is? A satellite maybe? Very cool none the less.

I've another from Universal Studios - the colour looked ok, but the B&W conversion really brings a sense of dread. Again some HDR applied due to the strong light I had to deal with at the park.

Thanks! Your guess is as good as mine. I would expect a satellite to have a longer trail. It is slow moving, since each of those breaks in the streak is 11 seconds so it took about a minute to make. Maybe it was a sattelite passing through some light for just a short period or something like that. I didn't notice it while shooting,

Love the star trails, mattb................do you have to worry about keeping the K5 warm for long exposure to the cold like this?
