That's a great shot and I get that look from all my women, all of the time.

After an exhaustive comparison of the 15 Limited, Tamron and Sigma 17-50 2.8s, Pentax 16-45, 16-50, 12-24, Sigma 8-16, 10-20 and a few others, I made my decision and ordered the 15! I almost went with the Tamron 17-50 2.8 because it would be more practical as a walk around zoom and the price was reasonable, but the build quality was questionable. Of course, all of the incredible photos in this thread also heavily factored into my decision! Thank you for feeding into my LBA, and please don't tell the wife!

Is there a big difference between the field of view on the 15mm and the 18mm end of a zoom?? on k-5?

Looks like ~10 degrees greater FoV - and less distortion, and generally sharper.

Loving the work you all are posting in this thread.

Hand held night shot in "Vieux Montreal" or old Montreal from about a month ago.

Huge difference! A few mm at the wide angle have much more impact than 50 at the long end.

Very cool, Matt! I really do envy your outdoors adventures.

We had some perfect white puffy clouds this afternoon. Called for more long exposure:
