Thanks.. It's on its way to me, but I wish I made the decision just a tad earlier.. Now it doesn't look like I will receive it before I take off to Alice Springs and Uluru on Friday

It's not weather resistant is it? Would love to take it on the volcanoes in New Zealand this winter. But it rains a lot there.
While not weather resistant, I would have no qualms about taking any of the limited lenses out (and you know what 'they' say about the things you have with you, rather than at home).
The beauty of the limited lenses in this regard is that they are small and easily covered (and have their own inbuilt hoods). I certainly have been out in some weather in with some of my kit (including NZ central plateau rain/snow), and touching wood have had no issues.

I am a lot more careful of salt spray though.

I have had mine out in light rain and heavy snow but try not to have it exposed for long in those conditions. No problems yet!
I would also like it if they were WR, just for my peace of mind. But hey, it's fun to live dangerously sometimes too!

v5planet,
Great angle on that last one, and I love the flag at the top of the building.

The big concern I have with nonWR lenses is the electrical contacts on the camera. I have also had mine out in misting conditions but I usually try to keep it under a rainjacket unless I'm using it.

I'm sorry for getting everyone off topic - here is a (non-WR) example of 15mm fun:

Moonrise was behind thick clouds tonight but I didn't come home completely empty handed.

Cool! Looks like the flag is blowing in a different direction than the clouds.

Early shot

Received my 15mm LTD yesterday pretty late in the day. Managed to get out for a little walkabout today. Shot this refugee mural in Silver Spring, MD with a wall just a little behind my back. Little bit of lens correction and fake HDR in LR4. Flickr link - IMGP0476.jpg | Flickr - Photo Sharing!

I went out to catch the moon setting this morning but it disappeared behind the clouds before I could get a shot off. So I turned around and get this instead.
