Very Nice . Plus I didn't know there's any water in California as there's been the most serious drought in decades.

From a walk in the neighborhood on Sunday (perspective corrected in PT Lens and cropped to 3:4 format). I was wondering if the corner softness in this image is normal or if my lens has a problem. I probably focussed in the centre on the foreground apple tree, so I assume it's just that crazy curved focus field of the DA15 which fooled me, but I'd like to know how you guys handle the DA15 - do you focus manually at ~infinity for subjects like this?

I love those last two shots, awesome colours and composition! I don't know how or why, but those two have a medium format look going on. Nice!

In that situation, I use autofocus on an object that is at infinity length away. I, too thought that I had a bad copy until I learned that I just didn't know how to use this lens (so now I have 2 ). From my tests I can almost guarantee you that if you take that same shot at f/11 you will lose the corner softness.

I mostly shoot on a tripod, so I like to take my time and manually focus using the magnifier in live view. I can go up to 10x, so I can just play with the focus and make sure the sharpness is where I want it to be. Satisfied with the results so far.

Thanks, that's what I mostly do - but sometimes I forget :-)

Thanks, I often use f/11 but I think I've seen some of this behavior at that f-stop too.

Anyway, did I post this here yet?

Not that I've seen. Brilliant shot.
