I went looking for a sunset and found this instead

This is what is left of a tree broken by the explosion of Mt. St. Helens in May of 1980.

I really like those car shots. Very nice. I just recently got a 15mm limited and want to try that. From what height to you prefer to shoot these? I'm guessing maybe 36 inches or so?

Thought I would post a couple more images.

I love the 2nd one. I'd love it a tad bit more with the driver door closed...Something irks me about that. It would be ghostly cool with the door closed. Like the car shouldn't be running but it is...

I got out to take a photo of a church and left the door open. Turned around and thought the truck looked cool in the fog with the lights on -- sort of film noire-ish. Wish I had shut the door before I snapped the photo, but it was dark and I thought it was just a throw away snap...

Edit: I have since gone back and gotten rid of the door in the photo...

Love the B&W shot.

Thanks! As I am on a short trip in a National Park with my tent and have limited options to charge my phone (which now is my only way to connect with this forum) I am sorry can't comment on the other beautiful photo's you guy's present in this thread. The little phone screen just doesn't do them justice! And typing on a phone is my least favorite way of communicating...

But thanks for the welcome I received in this special part of Pentax Forums! I'll see if I can find some more worthwhile stuff from my short, but sweet time with the DA15mm.
