LOL! Only problem with that scenario is that the San Andreas Fault (less than a mile away) is a strike-slip fault rather than a thrust fault. So things move sideways along it instead of up and down. Or so I'm told.
This is not the first time the weather forecasters have gotten it wrong when it comes to the snow level. If they say 6,000 feet it can be anywhere between 5000 and 7500 locally. I was just happy to see the snow - it's our first snow of the season and a very welcome sight.
So that is how my day-off started. Here's another picture, taken several hours later, the snow is already starting to melt.
And this is how the day ended. Quite a bit different, don't you think?
