I've been very busy at work lately so not so much shooting. But staying late at the office has some upsides, I took some pictures of this sunset from my office building.

Right now this lens is $435 on B&H I am trying to decide whether to buy this or the DA* 55 1.4, is the $435 a good price for this lens?

I guess it depends on what you like to shoot. The DA 55 is more of a portrait lens, while the DA 15 excels at landscapes.

I bought my DA15 and DA21 Easter 2012 from Adorama for $406 each. I haven't seen a comparable price since so I don't think you can lose!

So KEH had a 15% off sale off pentax gear, and somehow I ended up with a EX DA 15mm for $340 even though I have a 12-24 and a samyang 14mm. I'm justifying it by saying I'll use it for night shots and backlit shots (hence why I was waiting for a good copy of the smc version rather than jump on the $435 new HD) All I have to say is...its like a modern ultrawide AF with the feel of a super takumar. This was at f4.
