My first serious test of the new DA 15mm Limited. Only one shot had the type of subject matter that pleased me.

This is the Long Jetty on Tuggerah Lake in the suburb of Long Jetty. K-3, f11, 1/320, ISO 100.

Welcome to the Club Ray , You will have years of enjoyment with this Lens.

Thanks, KJ. My desire to have one started that evening when you let me try yours. Thank you again for that because I now finally have one. I haven't heard from you in ages.

I like your shot. My conclusion after using the DA15 for a while was that one has to find a good foreground subject... and sometimes you have to get really close. This lens makes things very small so filling up the frame is a challenge.

I agree with your conclusion. I have had lots of rejects trying to achieve that. More practice is required...lots more.

I have been subscribed to this thread for a long time, and made a few comments on images along the way. This is my first image post. Although I live in New Zealand I work and travel many places. This week I am working in Honiara, Solomon Islands. A couple of images of tonights sunset taken with the smc DA15 and K3. I hope you enjoy.

Nice one !

A tip: take the time to correct for the horizon in the second picture, it will improve it significantly

Thank you, and thanks for the tip. I straightened the shot on the jetty. On reflection the horizon might have been a better idea
