The B&W is ok, but I just like the color version a lot more.
Thanks. I do think the color adds a bit too.

Great sharp, clear shots . . . but how do we know which lens we were expecting?

ADDED NOTE: How silly of me . . . I just glanced at the title of this thread! :>)

I love this thread and the work represented here, but have gravitated to full frame and medium frame cameras. Does anyone use the 15 in crop mode on the K-1, and if so, with what sort of results? What is the best advice to one who would like 15ltd results from K-1?

I have posted a few images with the DA 15 on the K-1 in crop mode. It is pretty good -- basically the kind of quality that you would get shooting the K5 and DA 15 together (maybe a little better when you do pixel shift).

I posted both of these shots earlier, but both were shot on the K-1. I particularly like the contrast and the flare resistance. I wonder if an FA 20 f2.8 would be sort of a full frame equivalent? I haven't used those lenses, but it feels to me like none of the FA series lenses have the same flare resistance of the DA limiteds.

When I first got the K-1 I had nothing at the wide end so I used the DA 15 in crop mode. It felt almost the same as with K5IIs. Didn't try pixelshift, though. Here are some examples (I think I posted those before). Best advice for using the DA 15 on the K-1 would be to either try pixelshift, either try to use it in FF mode and maybe a square crop? other than that... let's be honest, you're not getting the K-1 to use it with the DA 15. I hope a new DFA wide angle prime will be coming soon.

From the examples I've seen, not even close. But I've never looked too deep into it so I might be wrong.

Great images. My conclusion is about the same as yours. I will probably just wait until Pentax does something at the wide end for full-frame. Thank you for this post.

Thank you for this post. Great images and quite encouraging. I think I will just concentrate of wider images with medium format for the moment, and wait for Pentax to do something for full frame at the wide end.
