This takes me back, I remember the tranquility of the sunset on the unspoilt unpopulated beach in Connemara, West coast of Ireland. I bought the HD DA15 just before the trip and I was blessed with beautiful weather and light.

So true Ray. Much as I like the DA 12-24, images from the 15 have a different and distinctive character.

Something different - Giant's Causeway light painted in near complete darkness

I light painted this looking inland as best as I could. There are millions of tourists visit the Giant's Causeway in Ireland so I only visit around sunset and stay into the night. The scene was nearly black so needed some careful painting with my powerful head torch, even managing to reach the far headland a little bit.

There are zillions of photos online so tried something a little different

The ultimate question is;

Do I need to get one?

I love it on APS-C. It isn't the sharpest lens out there -- I usually shoot mine at f8, but its colors, contrast, small size, and flare resistance really make it shine compared to many other wide angles available for Pentax cameras.
