Love the colours there taks, it's a cracker! With symmetrical cropping it would be a real winner and a wall hangar!

I'd crop out the left and have the brightest focal part dead centre, crop the bottom slightly so the distance at top and bottom are exactly the same, however it's not my work 😀

I'll state that I think I like it as is and I'm not sure that the symmetry would be improving it. Try both and let us know.

To be clear - I like it as is and would print that.

Thank you so much for the comment. I wanted to try the symmetry crop but ghouls and goblins hindered me sitting in front of the computer last night

~360° pano stitch handheld

Love being able to do this again after building powerful modern PC, I was stuck with a 4GB laptop for years... Very disabling and frustrating!

This one of my friend looking out to the North Atlantic from our August wild camp in Donegal, Ireland. He lives in a bustling Chinese mega city and loved the solitude he once enjoyed here

7 exposures or so for this stitch, better if you use a pano head on tripod but worked OK. This would print wide!

Here is the cropped version.

I like this one too but I would use the 35 macro for similar composition

Yip far better, the symmetry and getting closer in works much better, cropping out the left side was great. What about leaving more sky above the right mountain and equalling the amount in the reflection in to make it a square crop? I love square landscapes myself, Pentax should make cameras with square sensors. 😀

I'm not saying landscapes should be symmetrical but for this one it works due to the symmetrical reflection in the water.

Do you prefer your cropped version to the original? I certainly do 😃

I can see that the crop for symmetry here makes a balanced, more appealing image. When I compare the two images, the original looks boring. That said, it tells me that I was using the wrong lens for that particular look. And by using a different lens or by cropping, I am losing the perspective the DA15 gives me which is what I wanted to capture at the time. And I do like the original picture. But I guess there are a lot more to think about than just how you feel like and I do have a lot more to learn about creating an image I appreciate you taking the time to give me a great advise. Thank you nocturnal
