Thanks. I had some real nice light to work with that morning, and the DA 15 + KP combination was a little easier to work with in the cold than the K-1 + DFA 15-30. Here's another DA 15 shot:

Ticked off one from the bucket list, spinning steel wool at a frozen waterfall. The shoot went well, but the editing gave me fits, which you may have read about in this thread. I swear this lens is my go to for all things light painting.

I forgot this thread was here, can't find any posts I've made in the thread so thought I better change that.

What prompted me was a bloke asking why the 15mm as he has the DA21. I have a 21mm lens and never thought of them as the same.

Anyhoo, here's the 15mm LTD on a K5 from a tumultuous day in Newcastle.

Marvelous photo that provides an excellent answer to "why?"

I usually shot storms with my Sigma 10-20, but not always.

This photo is delightfully surreal. The kite (?) seems to hover in the air, no strings visible. The shadow falls in an unexpected spot. And the contrail of the plane looks weird. You've nailed the color, exposure, and composition, so this photo really pulls my brain in unusual directions as I try to force some sense into what I see. Really cool shot.

Thank you, I must add that I just arrived and the kite surfer waited until I had taken the picture
