Finally had to try out this D FA 100mm f2.8 WR lens since it arrived over two months (sorry!) ago. Paired with the K5iis, I think I discovered a goldmine!

Here ya go, a picture of my Seiko automatic movement.

Indoor Sports

Being my only fast medium telephoto AF lens, I occasionally shoot indoor hockey with the SMC Pentax-D FA 100mm F2.8 Macro WR. An example from the 2015 Indoor Hockey Wold Cup, slightly cropped&rotated ooC JPG, from fairly far back. A very fast sport, so pre-focusing and anticipation are needed.

The D FA 100 WR does selfies. I decided to capture a part of my outfit that I wore to a recent wedding.

Macro theme this week for the Pentax Lightbox Project 52.

The magic of macro: these cookies are less than 1 inch in diameter in real life!

A makeshift crayon caddy that has become a staple resource of quiet afternoons in our house.

. Looking at DFA 100mm macro photos at 100% is stunning - so much detail

Completely agree. When I first got mine, I took photos of everything up close just to see how it looked. You should do coins. It's amazing at how many scratches they have.

Non-macro photo with DFA 100mm WR. The feathers on this bird look nice and three-dimensional
