I only bought the D-FA 100mm by accident, at first I didn't want it. But it was on sale at Jessops last year, at £250 I could not say no. Mine didn't come with a hood though, but then I guess...
Once I tried it out I was worried at first, since the pictures seemed blurry on my camera's screen. I have no idea what went wrong there, but once I copied them onto my computer I was blown away by the detail and sharpness of this lens, and its ability to blur backgrounds. I don't really do a lot of macro, but it's served me well for nature, portraits and as a general walkabout lens. I don't use it as often as my 21mm or my 50mm, but I'm usually glad to have it with me!
