D-FA WR Club

With the recent release of the Macro WR D-FA this thread is in hope of future lenses along the D-FA WR line.

In particular it would be great to see new versions of the FA LTD as D-FA LTD WR. A D-FA 31 LTD WR. D-FA 43 LTD WR and a D-FA 77 LTD WR would be a good start. Quickshift added of course.

This would be an excellent lead in for a full frame DSLR.

Sign me up for a D-FA 35/2 WR if we're just talking about repackaging existing lenses, but what I'd really love would be a D-FA 24/2.8 WR.

I would get a D-FA*24/2 WR, but I know it will never be....

P.S: But, what I really want is a great quality fast lens wider than 30. The promised 30/1.4 would be just lovely.....

It would be great to have more weather sealed primes of any brand. AFAIK, Canon and Nikon only weather seals their super-telephoto primes--the one exception being the new (and soft except the center) 50 f/1.2. They also seal some of their zooms.

This is exactly what I am talking about.

A D-FA 31 LTD WR would be great. I love the idea of a new D-FA 24 f2.8 LTD WR like Marc suggested along the lines of the old K and A design. Those are exceptional lenses that would foot the bill of being compact.

Let's hope Pentax has some magic up their sleeves.

For me, any large aperture prime is welcome. But what cought my eye on the new DFA WR was not the build quality improvement, it was more the improvement of rounded aperture blades.
That is something I'd love to have on the DA14. This would put some more sense into its close-up capabilities, making it a valuable competitor of the recent DA15.

Holy molly those are spectacular pictures! (and the butterfly )

I have never owned a macro lens before, but with the 100mm WR I just had to. I love my DA limiteds because of their IQ and wonderful build. Today I held the 100mm WR in my hands and I can honestly say that it did not disappoint me with regards to build quality. IQ, it's just fantastic! focus speed is a tad bit slower than my DA 70mm? but IQ is on par or perhaps even slightly better.

That is a damn sexy looking lens. It looks a bit neutered though with the blank there where the aperture ring should be.
