Here is one from me. As soon as I purchase this lens from Prodigital for 670, Adorama drop the price to 620....dang!

I have had it for about a week now and it's just fantastic. The build quality of the body is great, however I think it is a shame that they did not include a metal cap for it. I got the DA 15 at the same time (got a good deal on the pair) but the 100mm just won't come off.

About DFA 100mm, f2.8, WR

A good lens I have for about a month. As optical quality is a bit under Meyer Orestor 100mm, f2.8 but is automatic in focus and aperture (and WR, of course). For me is a good all around lens. Good for portrait and subjects with blur backgrounds (sharp from f2.8, but there are purple fringes here and the focus must be perfect). For macro is a question of preference to be far from subject (but to lose depth of focus) or came close to subject and have a more convenient DOF as is the case of DA 35mm f2.8 macro limited. And for f32 you must have a lot of light, a macro flash or a diffuser in upper front of the lens for the on camera flash. There are some examples of photos with Exif data, all jpgs from the Samsung GX20 and a bit p.p.

I like that tractor - the inscriptions on the windshield are just hilarious.

If would be great if Pentax could start forking out more of these lenses- at least then some sort of commitment to quality non-limited lenses and a future full-frame would be made.

Agree w/ Adam...
The 100mm WR really have the 'limited lens' feel. If future pentax WR lens are all like this, it will be so nice, and I think people will probably forgive the recent price hike with quality lens like this.

I am glad to see this thread going strong. Really great shots from everyone.

My intention starting this thread was the hope Pentax would create D-FA 31 LTD WR D-FA 43 LTD WR and D-FA 77 LTD WR.

Hopefully Pentax has the same vision to go along with a FF Digital body.
