With good reason

Just got the DFA 100mm WR for my birthday (only good thing about getting older). It is a really impressive lens. Just comparing it to the DA *50-135 , it is quite a bit sharper wide open and about half the size. Nice out of focus areas, although, of course, when you are doing macro shots everything tends to blur out any way.

A couple of early shots:

I got my DFA WR yesterday. It feels and looks like a limited and it's very sharp. Great lens!

This is one of my first tests with the K-7 and ISO 1600.

It was pretty tough to find this thread since it's been so long since it's been bumped but I just joined this club. I got this as my go to telephoto since it has macro, WR and AF and I haven't been disappointed. As expected the AF doesn't do moving targets very well but no lens can do it all. Overall it has met (or exceeded) my expectations (they were high).

I've taken a picture of this homeless man before (with a tak105). I don't know why but he has tied himself to all of those bags. Perhaps it's so the cops can't hassle him.

It's a miracle that this photo turned out. The girls did a quick U turn and accelerated fast (one w/o a helmet of course).

The AF did alright on this photo but missed a lot on ladies walking towards me. I'll probably take my M135 on most of my future trips like this since MF with a MF lens is better.
