Great captures..the ant one is very beautifull, (i need to get me some extension tubes...and of course leave home to see something alive worth doing the macro).

I really love this lens..the build is great..and it can render some good images.I've been playing a bit with mine tonight, (my subject can't flee or bite...lol)

Vivitar 135mm Close Focus
Ha! I knew it was a 135 based on the bokeh. The background blur is identical to my non-CF model. Out of curiosity, what is the focus limit for your lens?

It focuses to 59cm which is 1:2. Amazing lens that blows away other 135mm I have used. Here are some examples near the macro end of things.

purple skin

bi-switch

The strange texture on the microphone is exactly the texture of the metal, though it looks like some sort of sharpening problem! The lens is not as sharp in macro as my Vivitar Series 1 105mm but close. And it is better at longer ranges in terms of the smoothness of the rendering. Basically, the 135mm Close Focus has the portrait look nailed, while the 105mm Series 1 is the king of sharpness.

Two from my Vivitar 24mm f/2 in very extraordinary circumstances. ISO 400, f/4 long exposure in a very dark gallery, a capturing video projections. The lens did a fantastic job.

Robin - I like the old guy looking into his coat, that's a cool shot.

I just got a Vivitar 200mm M42 f3.5 recently, great lens, I'm already thinking about getting rid of all my zooms...no doubt will not buy any more...

I've posted a couple of shots taken with this lens in POTW, here's one of a Hawk taken about a week ago.

Vivitar 75-205/3.8 Macro Focusing

This is the largest lens I currently own, bigger than any 300mm lens I have but at least not the heaviest! It has shown good colors and sharpness, it's exceptionally sharp when stopped down to f8... below is at ISO 640, f5.6, PP on Faststone from a JPEG and Noise Reduction using Corel X2

Details - Thanks, Rick

Vivitar 75-205/3.8 Macro Focusing

This lens is a beast. I love using it for portraits and have found it to be a very capable lens with some very pleasant bokeh. I am happy that I sold my Sigma 50-200 AF lens for this beauty. $41 bucks for such a great lens can't be beat. However, this lens sure is feeding my LBA for either a DA70mm, a Helios 44-M4, or an 85mm of some kind (Vivitar, Jupiter, Helios, etc). Based off my equipment (Sigma 20-40 2.8, Super Tak 50 1.4, Sigma 90 2.8 Macro, and this lens), what focal length should I focus on for my next lens?

Example Added of Vivitar 75-205/3.8 Macro Focusing

Here's one shot with this lens from this weekend for my first photo shoot. Other lens that I used was my Super Tak 50. Cropped to fit my friend's (baby's mother's) needs. No PP other than the simple crop.
