Vivitar Series 1 90mm f2.5 Macro (K-mount on my K-x)
I will keep this lens until I die. In fact, I may have them bury it with me.

I feel the same way about mine!
Flowers are my favorite subject, and my (M42) Series 1 90 is my favorite lens for flowers.

From my 90, more Bleeding Hearts (I like the color of yours better ):

Kiron (Kino precision) 28mm f2

OP mentioned "Possibly the thread could include the rebranded equivalents such as the Lester Dines and the Rokinons etc.".

The Kiron 28/2 is the same as some variants of Vivitar and it has a 55mm flter thread and made in japan.

Samples: All taken wideopen at F2.

Pretty good for f/2 though I would never shoot it at that aperture. This lens tightens up a lot when stopped down -- at f/4 it is very good indeed.

Thanks...it definitely improves when stopped down. However, I got this lens for it's f2 aperture as I have two great zooms that covers 28mm at f2.8. But, it's size is pretty small, so may be I should consider using it more stopped down as it could be a nice addition when I go out with my DA21 and FA43 due to it's small size as well.

That's basically what I do. When I want a versatile wide angle I take the DA 12-24. But if I know I'm just doing street shooting (sometimes happens) I take a Vivitar 24/2 and pretend its fastest aperture is f/4. (I use the 24 since it's an "A" and my 28/2 isn't.)

"My, what big ears, eyes and nose you have..."

And a beautiful coat, as well. I love shots of best friends.

And I like the striking colors in the flower shot, too.

You're welcome.
Vivitar sure made / sold some good lenses, didn't they? After I bought my K10D, I compiled a bunch of Vivitars (ebay is both one of the best and worst things to ever happen to me). I've always wanted a 135 CF, but never found one at the right price. Someday...

From my January trip to Erawan Falls, Thailand.

The first usage of my Vivitar 28/2.8 (A22 according to the bestiary). Pretty sure I used an ND4+Polarizor for both shots.

I just secured my first non-Pentax manual lens: a Vivitar 28mm f2.0 close focus. From the 28mm bestiary, itīs either a K01 or possibly an A01. I canīt tell from the single pic Iīve seen if itīs an A or not, but as I donīt really mind, I havenīt asked the seller. Both are made by Komine (serial starts "28"), so this is not the Kiron version that has problems with the aperture sticking wide open.

Anyone here have this version to comment on?

I am sure I've posted this before. From the K01 at f/2.8.
